Inch Beach
One of the prettiest places, by far, we visited on Dingle was Inch Beach. Inch stretches between Dingle Peninsula and the peninsula to the south of it. We spent some time on Inch after driving around Dingle for a while. Inch was on our way to Kilarny, where Melissa's brother's Martial Arts tournament was. We visited Inch and Dingle on Friday the 13th and figured we might run by Kilarny that evening to see if we could find out where the competition was going to be at. Fortunately, we found the place and Melissa's brother.
But on our way to visit we stopped by Inch Beach. Inch's claim to fame is that scenes from the movie Far and Away were filmed here. Melissa and I think it was just a really pretty beach...we'll let you be the judge.

Driving away from Dingle was interesting. Here's a picture of our car (the only full car picture that I know of) by one of the scenic view places. This particular stop off was interesting because it was on the other side of a blind corner. We had to pull out and hope for the best.

This picture is looking out towards the North Atlantic. Dingle Peninsula is on the right.

Here's the first picture looking out from Inch beach. Dingle is on the right and the actual water is still a ways away. The beach was HUGE, but we made it out there.

Over my left shoulder is our best guess as to where they filmed the opening scenes of Far and Away at.

This is from the same rest stop as the earlier picture. However, this is looking towards Inch Beach.

Standing on Inch Beach, looking back towards land. I thought it was kind of interesting and daring that cars pulled up directly onto the beach...we counted a dozen or so that had made the drive directly onto the beach.

Another picture looking directly towards Dingle from Inch.
