"We beg you to come and walk among us once more."

Melissa and I flew into O'hare International Airport at 8 p.m. C.S.T Sunday evening, July 15th.  As I watched the golden sun setting over the Chicago skyscrapers, orange light filled the cabin of our 767 and memories of what was a fabulous trip filled my head.

The idea behind this trip to Ireland really was conceived about 4 1/2 years ago shortly after InterVarsity's 1996 Urbana missions conference.  Melissa and I had started dating and we shared some thoughts about doing ministry overseas while working full time in our professions.  We had really come to enjoy Irish culture, however, we had not visited the country.  This summer such an opportunity for a trip presented itself and we took it.  We spent 10 days traveling around the south end of the country starting in Dublin, moving south to Waterford and ending up in the Limerick area.  This site chronicles some of the sites we saw in picture.  In short, in was a really great, moving trip; we got a chance to really look at the culture and see some of the history behind the country.  To help things out, we've broken the pictures down by location and order we've visited them.  To enter, click on one of the locations we visited.
