| I received a Bachelors of Science degree in marketing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 1983. From November, 1984 until August 1996 I managed Radio Shacks in several cities in North Carolina including Wilmington, Lumberton, and Jacksonville. For the last 10 years of my career with Radio Shack I managed stores with annual revenues in excess of one million dollars. In 1992 I returned to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, receiving my Masters of Business Administration in 1995. In 1996, I entered the doctoral program in marketing at the University of Kentucky, receiving my doctorate in 2000. In August of 2000, I became an assistant professor of marketing at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. |
