Unit Plan Assignment

This unit plan will be similar to the one you created in BTE 362.  In addition, you will teach and measure learning which takes place in this unit plan.  This unit plan also includes a section where you evaluate the student learning which took place during your unit.  A pretest and posttest must be included to measure the amount of  learning which took place.  All results must be reported in percentage format for comparison.  You will also write a reflection statement regarding the reasons for the results you obtained.

For the unit:
Begin with a scenario of the school for which the unit is being planned.

Indicate the grade level of the unit.

Supply any assumptions you wish to make.  The unit should ask approximately two weeks (8 to 12 days).

Write behavioral objectives for the unit that will include the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains.

For behavioral objectives for the unit in the cognitive domain, include at least one objective at the following levels:  knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation (Label each objective).

Indicate how each of the objectives will be tested, i.e., discussion, homework assignments, reports, quizzes, tests, etc.  This assessment will become part of the objective.

Provide links to any materials. Create a chapter test, unit plan.

Devise an evaluation scheme, i.e., points and/or percentages and a grading scale.

Measure the impact your unit made on student learning.  Use a pretest and posttest to measure the impact.  Report the difference on the form included within the Unit Evaluation section of this assignment.

You may use a textbook to guide you.

You need to include all reference materials in a bibliography at the end of your unit plan.

For each lesson:
Provide lesson plans for every day in the Unit (8 to 12 days).

Include the objectives within each lesson.

Tell how each objective within each lesson will be measured.

Include the Illinois Learning Standards and/or National Business Education Standards that your objectives will meet.
